• Choosing a Data Projector

When choosing a multimedia data projector, please consider these requirements carefully:

• Resolution: SVGA or XGA is best to match your current or planned computers. Matching the projector to your computer settings will acheive the best results and clearest image.
• Brightness: A brighter projector is required when ambient light or fluorescent tubes are present. It is generally sufficient to use a projector that has an output of over 1000 ANSI lumens or more in order to combat ambient lighting. This minimum brightness is also needed for portable machines as they may encounter different lighting from room to room, day to day.
• Weight: Almost all current data projectors can be classified as portable. However, the smaller they are and the less they weigh, the more expensive they become. Please consider how portable and small your data projector needs to be.
